I’m Elizabeth and here are a few essentials of my life to give you some idea of who I am. I was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and attended Sacred Heart Academy for high school.  My family consists of my parents, my little brother, Matthew, and my rather plump cat, Sabrina.  I transferred to Centre as a sophomore and have since fallen in love with the college, people, opportunities—everything! I am both excited and anxious to be in my senior year now. Last semester, I studied abroad in the beautiful city of Strasbourg, France. Although I change my mind weekly as to what I plan on doing with my life, I’ve declared a major in history with a minor in government. Right now, I have work experience in museums, but I am also thinking about geography and agriculture for future careers. I am also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, one of four sororities on campus, participate as a student representative on the Centre Alumni Board, and hold the position of copy editor for The Cento, the student paper.

But enough with the basic facts. I want to share with you some of what I love. Anything crafty appeals to me, whether it is scrapbooking, card-making, or painting. My work study in the drama department’s costume shop has also gotten me into sewing for a hobby. I live my life according to my favorite quotes from famous thinkers and writers, because I can always find a saying to apply to any situation that confronts me.  My passion is writing, in any form.  Short stories are my favorite, but I dabble in poetry and longer works of fiction as well.  I try to read as much as possible, too, because books inspire me to write more.  My favorite novel is Wuthering Heights, closely followed by Jane Eyre, but there are so many books I truly enjoy, I cannot name them all.  Finally, I am a history nerd, through and through.  I love anything that has a historical aspect to it, including movies, music, books, clothes, college courses, etc.  My absolute favorite era is World War I. Needless to say, my love of history is evident in my choice of major and my future plans.  I hope this brief summary of myself has given you an idea of who I am!
